Seating: We assign seats in order of when you purchase your tickets. All reservations are subject to a food and drink minimum of $15 per guest. Gratuity of 20% is automatically added to all food and beverage purchases.

Longwood Jazz Ensemble

The Longwood Jazz Ensemble was established in 1980. A traditional 18-piece big band, its repertoire includes music from all periods of jazz history with emphasis on swing, Latin, and jazz-rock styles. Directed since 1993 by Dr. Charles Kinzer, it is open to all LU students by audition and presents a series of concerts each year. In recent years, the Jazz Ensemble has performed in Norfolk, Richmond, Lynchburg, Culpeper, and throughout the Southside region of Virginia. The group has also traveled to New Orleans, New York, and Washington, DC. Alumni from the Jazz Ensemble have gone on to become professional performers in Richmond and Northern Virginia, as well as earning graduate degrees at such institutions as East Carolina University and the University of Maryland.
