Drew Willson is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, Richmond resident, and Virginia native. Drew’s lyrics touch on themes of human relationship, humor, and holy mystery. His music is influenced by folk, rock, Scots-Irish, and jazz traditions. His first album Inviting Storms to Town was recorded with James Gammon Productions in Charlottesville and released in 2016, and his second album Ritual Matters was recorded with Adrian Olsen at Montrose Recording in Richmond and released in 2018. Drew also plays in the Richmond bands Carmen Ann & the Low Down Gamblers and Willson Rothman.
The band will include Shea Tuttle on bass and vocals, Lee Covington of the ButterBean Jazz Quartet on piano, and Jeff Rothman of Suggesting Rhythm on drums.
Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Afghan refugee resettlement in Richmond. Thank you for your support!
