“Acoustic Guitarist of the Year” and celebrated singer/songwriter Christie Lenée is more than a musician – she’s an experience. Symphonic compositions flow from her fingertips effortlessly, with sound ranging from transcendental folk-pop to virtuosic instrumentals.

Christie has been described as “Joni Mitchell meets Dave Matthews and Michael Hedges,” integrating melodic pop lyricism with catchy hooks and percussive, harmonic textures. Her captivating performances have been seen on stages with Tommy Emmanuel, Tim Reynolds (Dave Matthews Band), Andy McKee, Amy Ray (Indigo Girls), Melissa Etheridge, Antigone Rising, Kaki King, Jake Shimabukuro and Christopher Cross to name a few. Christie has released five albums, with “STAY” one of three finalists for “Best CD of 2016” (Indie Acoustic Project Awards).

Featured on the Grammy Museum’s virtual program streaming from Los Angeles, along with a variety of articles in Guitar Player Magazine, Acoustic Guitar Magazine, and the recent notability of “Best Acoustic Guitarists in the World Right Now” (Guitar World Magazine), Christie continues to awe crowds with the unique essence of her music.

When Christie took first place in the International Fingerstyle Guitar Championship. Jimmy Leslie from Guitar Player Magazine notes that “her use of dexterous fingerpicking and two-hand tapping to relay deep emotions through tuneful compositions was more than enough to win.”

Recent digital releases have created enthusiasm including dynamic duets with Tommy Emmanuel, Phil Keaggy and Laurence Juber (guitarist of Paul McCartney and Wings).

Christie’s new album, “Coming Alive” was co-produced by Matthew Odmark from the band Jars of Clay, featuring iconic musicians such as Keith Carlock (drummer for Steely Dan, Sting, Toto, John Mayer) and Grammy Award Winning Bassist Adam Nitti (Kenny Loggins, Carrie Underwood, Susan Tedeschi). The first digital single, “That Voice” is a self empowerment anthem about breaking past limiting beliefs and choosing to stand up to the inner voice that says “I’m not enough,” and instead listen to the one that says “I can do anything.” The music is driven by a danceable drum groove, acoustic and electric guitars, and a chorus that makes you want to sing at full volume. “That Voice” will be releasing August 5th on all streaming sites.

“It’s been a joy to create this album. As of now, I am most excited to wave the flag of joy in this human experience and remind others to celebrate with me,” says Lenée. “It’s good to be alive, and we are lucky to be on the planet right now. Through all of the trials and tribulations, the emotional roller coasters of the pandemic, and among a continuum of life lessons and transitions, all I can say is… “It’s a beautiful ride.” “Love is the Victory We’ve Won.”

Christie Lenée is a wonderful spirit making beautiful music on the guitar. She has epic compositions that take one on a journey through time.” –Tim Reynolds, Guitarist for Dave Matthews Band

Watching Christie Lenée perform her solo acoustic act is like seeing a firecracker execute a high-wire circus routine while doing flips and juggling flaming bowling pins.” – Jimmy Leslie, Guitar Player Magazine

Watching Christie is like watching a master chef bring the best tasting ingredients to your lips!” – Ellis Paul, Folk Icon

Christie Lenée is a fine young guitar player, composer and singer whose depth is surprising in our age!” – Tommy Emmanuel, CGP
