Purple Rain 40th Anniversary Tribute to PRINCE WSG Tribute to Morris Day

Celebrating The 40th Anniversary of PURPLE RAIN Album & Movie Tribute to PRINCE!! Plus, A Special Guest Tribute to Morris Day

This PRINCE Tribute features Award Winning Singer and Guitar player Cymone Lovett as PRINCE and his 10 piece band from across the USA, complete with a HOTT Horn Section and backing vocals. This is a non-stop ,hit packed spanning 90minutes bringing the music and memories of PRINCE back to life.

Purple Rain 40th Anniversary All-Star Purple Party is a very special concert and dance party on Prince’s birthday celebrating his acclaimed Purple Rain album and film released 40 years ago this summer.

Cymone and his all-star band will perform songs featured in the album and film including “Purple Rain“, “Let’s Go Crazy“, “When Doves Cry” “I Would Die 4 You” “Baby I’m A Star” with special performance of Morris Day & The Time’s “Jungle Love” and “The Bird” as well as other popular Prince songs including “Kiss“, “1999“, “Little Red Corvette” and more!

Cymone was originally born and raised in Canada by his loving parents who were also musicians. Later, his family relocated to the US to chase the American dream as many musicians did. Quite naturally he would become a musician due to his father being a musician for the late, great James Brown. While young Cymone toured and hung around rehearsals and back stage gigs, he was being taught along the way by James Brown’s musicians to play multiple instruments, i.e., drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and the trumpet. However, the guitar would later be his love.

Cymone played with various bands along the way, and lended his creative musicianship by playing for Glenn Jones, Miki Howard and Dianna Ross to name a few.

Cymone always knew he could carry a tune, however he was never interested in being a lead singer, his passion was his artistry in playing multiple instruments for others. However, when playing for the band Radiant, the lead singer didn’t show up for a gig, and since the show must go on, Cymone stepped to the plate and the show was a huge success. Furthermore, after getting multiple compliments of singing and playing his guitar like Prince, Cymone decided to take center stage, as he birthed his project: Cymone Lovette & The Dream Band.

Cymone and his band has played at most of the venues in the Washington, DC Metro Area, New York City, MGM Grand Casino, and most EVERY Festival on the East Coast paying tribute to Prince with spot on voice & guitar accuracy.
