“Bosse’s guitar brings a fiery edge to tracks that define the essence of fusion: jazz improvisation meets rock and roll abandon.” -Jazz Guitar Today
Voted “Outstanding Guitarist” and dubbed “a master in the making” by Guitar Player Magazine while studying at Berklee College of Music in the 90s, Ron Bosse has traveled a fascinating, stylistically multi-faceted road over the decades leading to the creation of what is the most fulfilling project of his prolific, action packed career – his perfectly titled new album Burning Room Only, voted one of the “Best Albums of the Year – 2022” by JAZZIZ Magazine.
On this epic, high energy collection, the innovative artist ventures into freewheeling, deeply funky R&B/jazz fusion territory for the first time, celebrating a dynamic spirit of collaboration with Jeff Lorber, one of contemporary jazz’s most storied and eclectic veteran composers, producers and hit-makers.
Riding the wave of Burning Room Only’s critically acclaimed success, Bosse has assembled a top-notch band of musicians featuring Jeff Lorber on keys, Berklee College of Music professors Mark Zaleski on sax and Steve Langone on drums, Boston Symphony Orchestra percussionist Will Hudgins on vibes, and Carlos Sulbaran on bass.
Together, this dynamic ensemble performs an exciting mix of Bosse/Lorber originals as well as select works from Lorber’s extensive library of classic songs.
